The Water Monitor also known as a Leguaan (Afrikaans name likkewana) the largest African lizard. It forages along rivers and pans for crabs, and frogs.
It is widespread through Southern Africa with the exception of the Western Cape and Namibia. We saw them in the Kruger National Park.
