The Secretarybird (Afrikaans name, Sekretarisvoel) is an uncommon resident of the savanna and grasslands, we saw this one in the agricultural lands of the West Coast. It was so exciting to see one in the wild.
They are known to kill prey by stomping on them.The Secretary bird feeds on grasshoppers, insects, snakes and other small mammals.
