Pied Wagtail

The Pied Wagtail (Afrikaans name, Bontkwikkie) is the only black and white wagtail in South Africa. A common and widespread resident in the Kruger National Park.

They feed mainly on insects but sometimes, seeds, worms, small crabs and even small fish

The Juvenile is much paler than the adults.

We also witnessed this Green-backed Heron chasing this Pied Wagtail pair.
