Little Bee-eater

The little bee-eater (Afrikaans name, Kleinbyvreter) is the smallest of the bee-eaters. It is often seen near rivers among the reeds. They normally appear singly or in pairs but are also seen in flocks in the evening to keep warm.

Also a common Kruger National Park resident. Their colouring is beautiful and they are such tiny little birds that as you can see they are hardly bending those light grass stalks.
