Lilac-breasted Roller

The Lilac-breasted Roller (Afrikaans name, Gewone troupant) is a common resident in the Savannah.
It has to be the most colourful bird in the Kruger National Park, possibly the most photographed.

This little guy is found everywhere in the Kruger National Park, but is also the most difficult to capture. The minute you stop the car and get the camera ready, they fly off in the opposite direction.

Did I mention the most photographed?
