Lesser Swamp Warbler

Warblers are so difficult to identify and I have to admit that I am not all that good at Identifying them, the warblers that I mostly see is the Lesser Swamp Warbler and the Little Rush Warbler. I have learn’t to identify them mostly by song but now also by sight.

This is the Lesser Swamp Warbler (Afrikaans name Kaapse Rietsanger) they are such pretty little birds with a sweet, rich, fluty song, they can sing for ages almost as though they are serenading you.

We see them most often at Intaka Island and Rietvlei Nature Reserve.
