Giant Plated Lizard

The Giant Plated Lizard (Afrikaans name Reuse-pantserakkedis) is found in the northern regions of South Africa. They live mostly on the poppies.

They feed mainly on Large insects, flowers, soft fruit and leaves. They lay up to 5 eggs in the summer.

We saw these two in the Kruger National Park.
