The Crested Pigeon is found all across Australia except for the far North.

The crest is held erect while the bird is running with the length of the crest reaching between 30 – 37cm. It is very difficult to tell the difference between male and female as their is not much difference in colouring

The pigeon has striped wings with beautiful bronze colours of blue, purple and green. We found them in Centennial Park in Sydney.
