Cape Teal

The Cape Teal (Afrikaans name, Teeleend) is a duck, a common resident at fresh or saline waterways.

I love their colouring and those red eyes. These parents with chicks is just so beautiful.

We see these regularly at the Strandfontein Sewage Works.
