Blue Pansy Butterfly

The Blue Pansy Butterfly – Junonia oenone oenone,(Afrikaans name Blou Gesiggie) is common in the throughout the North Eastern parts of South Africa.

The Blue Pansy establishes its territory on hilltops and ridges, darting off to chase intruders, they do get into aerial dogfights with larger butterflies.
