Black-headed Heron

The Black-headed Heron (Afrikaans name, Swartkopreier) is mainly a resident of grasslands and fields.

He is often seen with other herons, egrets and ibises

He mainly feeds on mice and reptiles.

We also witnessed this one catching and eating a snake at the West Coast National Park
