White Berkheya, Disselboom Flower

The White Thistle-leaved Berkheya, commonly known as the Disselboom flower is found mainly in the Drakenberg and in parts of the Western Cape.

It is a perennial plant with flowerheads of 50 to 70 mm in diameter, with spiny stems. We saw them in Kistenbosch Botanical Gardens
