Swift Tern

The Swift Tern (Afrikaans name Geelbeksterretjie) is a large Tern with a long, slightly drooped yellow beak, the juvenile having a slightly greenish yellow bill.

They are endemic to South Africa and can be found in coastal waters and wetlands. They often follow the sardine run up the East Coast.
