Smoky Orange Tip Butterfly

The Smoky Orange Tip Butterfly Colotis euippe omphale (Afrikaans name Donker Oranjepuntjie), is most common in the Eastern parts of South Africa but widespread except for the moist Fynbos and mountain areas.

They are seen in far greater numbers between late summer and autumn. We saw these in Kruger National park in early February.
