Rock Kestrel

The Rock Kestrel (Afrikaans name, Kransvalk) is a common resident in the South Western parts of the country and a winter visitor to the Northern parts of Southern Africa.

It is a pretty bird that we have seen at Rietvlei, West Coast National Park and in the agricultural land in the Malmesbury area.
