Reed Cormorant

The Reed Cormorant (Afrikaans name, Rietduiker) is mainly a freshwater cormorant, smaller than most of the other cormorants.

They are often seen with other water birds and make their nests in trees, bushes or reeds.

We see them often at Intaka Island and Rietvlei
