Powerful Owl

The Powerful Owl is the largest Owl in Australia. They are found mainly in tall trees in woodland and forests.

Breeding pairs have a permanent bond and live together for their lifetime.

They feed mainly on tree dwelling mammals such as possums and flying foxes, also large birds, rats and rabbits.

We saw them with a juvenile in Centennial Park in Sydney.
