Pincushion Protea

The Pincushion Protea (Leucospermum cordifolium) (Afrikaans name Luisiesbos), is part of the protea family and is found in the Western Cape’s Floral Kingdom.

The bush is quite compact and there is one bush that has been recorded at 4m high. The colour is quite fantastic from a bright orange through to an almost red. The flowers are exquisite.
