Pectoral Sandpiper

The Pectoral Sandpiper (Afrikaans name, Geelpootstrandloper) is a vagrant wader to our shores. It is a rare summer visitor that breeds in the tundra of North America.

We were so lucky to see this visitor at the Strandfontein Sewage Works.
