Pacific Black Duck

The Pacific Black Duck (Anas supercilliosa) is the most abundant of Australia’s ducks. Found mainly in lagoons, flooding inland rivers and swamps.

They feed mainly on small aquatic creatures and plant material.

The female croaks softly whilst the male has a wheezy whistling sound.
