Natal Lily

According to the Red List the ​Natal Lily (Crinum moorei​) is ​listed as vulnerable​, its wild population is decreasing, and has declined by at least 20% over the past 70 years.

T​he Natal Lily is one of the larger members of the world-wide tropical to temperate ornamental lily family

The Natal River Lily, (crinum moorei) is found mainly in marshy areas along the coastal regions of Eastern Africa. It is a perennial that flowers mainly in March to May. We saw them in the Kirstenbosch botanic gardens
