Karoo Scrub Robin

The Karoo Scrub Robin (Afrikaans name, Slangverklikker) is endemic to the Karoo scrub and the Western Cape coastal strandveld.

Said to warn folk of snakes by clicking its wings together.

Breeding pairs often have helpers at their nests. We see them often at the West Coast National Park.
