Grey-Winged Francolin

The Grey-winged Francolin (Afrikaans Name, Bergpatrys) is a fairly common, seldom seen, bird of the strand veld, fynbos and Karoo areas.

For me it is a strikingly beautiful francolin its colour and feather patterns.

We have only seen this bird twice, both times in the West Coast National Park.
