Grey Teal

The Grey Teal (Anas gracillis) is found in most of Australia, in ponds, lakes, tidal pans, farm dams and swamps.

They are mostly silent with the male has a soft courting “took-took”.

The Grey Teal feeds mostly by sifting water or mud for aquatic animals or zooplankton. We saw them in Centennial park in Sydney.
