Crowned Lapwing

The Crowned Lapwing (Afrikaans name, Kroonkiewiet) is a common resident of grasslands and agricultural lands.

They feed mainly on termites and other invertebrates. We saw them in the Malmesbury agricultural lands and in the Kruger National Park.
