Crested Francolin

The Crested Francolin (Afrikans name, Bospatrys) is a common resident of woodland and well wooded savannah. Main diet consists of bulbs, roots, leaves, fruit and seeds. We met this one in the Kruger National Park.

Love how they lift their crests as they run across the road.
