Black-Winged Kite With A Meal

We observed this Black-winged Kite (Afrikaans name Blouvalk, Zulu name uKholwe Onamahlombe Amnyama) in Strandfontein, where it had just caught a mouse.

With its sharp beak it ripped and tore through the fur and skin eating strips of the flesh.

Ending with the back legs and tail. It was all over within 10 minutes
