Black Stork

The Black Stork (Afrikaans name Grootswartooivaar) is an uncommon and decreasing residentand nomad at rivers, lakes and estuaries.

Estimated population in 2011 was 1000 pairs. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have seen this one flying overhead in the Kruger National Park.
