Impala With Deformed Horn

Whilst we were at Mala Mala Game Reserve and out on one of our daily game drives we came across this Impala (Afrikaans name, Rooibok) male with this deformed horn.

Apparently this happens every now and then and not only with Impala, it seems to be an injury some time in the growth of the young animal. This Impala (Afrikaans name, Rooibok) did not in any way seem to be debilitated and was quite happy within the herd.
